Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

7 Days Budget Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha Safari

Pick up from your hotel or airport at 7:30 am and depart for Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley, with a stop at a scenic viewpoint for photography before proceeding through Narok Town. Arrive at the budget camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy your first game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. Explore different sections of the Mara ecosystem and visit the Mara River, famous for the annual wildebeest migration and crocodiles. Look out for the Big Five as well as cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes and numerous bird species.

Day 3

Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy another full day of wildlife viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve. Your guide will take you to areas not covered on the previous day to maximize chances of seeing predators and other wildlife. Optional activities available at extra cost include a visit to a Maasai village or a hot air balloon safari.

Day 4

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast depart Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your hotel. Depending on arrival time enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park known for its endangered white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, leopards and numerous bird species.

Day 5

Lake Nakuru National Park

Spend the day exploring Lake Nakuru National Park visiting highlights such as Baboon Cliff and Makalia Falls and various wildlife rich areas around the lake. The park offers excellent opportunities for spotting rhinos, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks and flamingos when conditions are favorable.

Day 6

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha and arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy optional activities such as a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, a walking safari at Crescent Island or a visit to Hells Gate National Park. Relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 7

Lake Naivasha to Nairobi

After breakfast enjoy a leisurely morning at Lake Naivasha before departing for Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport marking the end of the safari.
