Nairobi and Amboseli National Park Tour Overview

Take a 2 nights visit to the unique Amboseli National Park, famous for being one of the best areas in Africa to observe large clans of elephants, different species of birds. Enjoy the sights of these mighty giants bathing in the orange dirt, with the highest mountain in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

Nairobi and Amboseli National Park Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Early in the morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park. Check in at your accommodation on arrival. In the afternoon, have a game drive. Amboseli National Park is situated due south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lakebed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area, there is a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps of Ol Kenya, Ol Tokay and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and your overnight stay at the camp after the evening drive.

Day 2

Explore Land of Elephants Amboseli

Rise up early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up over the summit, with a packed lunch provided. An optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast. This visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a refreshing experience. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Left un-harassed by poachers, elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps must form the highlights of any safari. Dinner and overnight rest is prepared at the camp.

Day 3

Amboseli – Nairobi

After breakfast, have a morning game drive. Depart to Nairobi arriving at about 5:00 pm, including lunch en route. Transfer to your hotel or the airport.
