This safari takes you through the two most popular game parks in Kenya, the Panorama Escarpment of the Great Rift Valley with its views of extinct volcanoes and elongated salty lake, to the unforgettable plains of the Masai Mara where all the Big 5 roam freely and the spectacular annual wildebeest migration occurs between July and October. Conclude your safari with a visit to Amboseli National Park. On arrival you will be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara

6-Day Mid Safari to Masai Mara, Great Lakes and Amboseli

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and begin a scenic drive through Kenyas agriculturally rich Central Highlands to the world renowned Masai Mara. Enjoy a stop at the escarpment viewpoint to take in panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley, then continue across savannah plains toward the Masai Mara. Upon arrival check in at your lodge or camp, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure relaxing and soaking in the tranquil bush ambiance as you prepare for the next days full day game drive. The Masai Mara is home to iconic wildlife including lions elephants and abundant birdlife.

Day 2

Masai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara, one of Africas most celebrated wildlife reserves. Expect excellent game viewing with sightings of lions cheetahs elephants buffaloes zebras antelopes warthogs and wildebeests. From July to late September witness the dramatic great migration as thousands of wildebeests move from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara and cross the Mara River. An optional visit to a local Maasai village can be arranged for a cultural experience. Accommodation is at Enchoro Wildlife Camp with all meals included and drinking water provided.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast check out from your camp or lodge in the Masai Mara and optionally visit a traditional Maasai village to experience authentic African culture. Depart and enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru. Upon arrival check in at your lodge have lunch and head out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park offers sightings of rhinos giraffes lions and flamingos set against lake and woodland landscapes. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge with all meals included and drinking water provided.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli via Lake Naivasha

Begin with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park enjoying final wildlife sightings as you exit the park. Proceed to Lake Naivasha where optional activities such as a relaxing boat ride and a guided walk at Crescent Island can be undertaken to get close to grazing wildlife. Continue the journey towards Amboseli National Park with lunch served en route. Arrive in the late afternoon check in at your lodge and relax as you prepare for the next days adventures. Accommodation is at Nyati Safari Camp with all meals included and drinking water provided.

Day 5

Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park with extensive game drives across its vast open plains and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with a picnic lunch in the park offering opportunities to spot large elephant herds lions cheetahs giraffes zebras and a variety of birdlife. Between drives take in stunning scenery and unique swamp ecosystems that attract abundant wildlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Nyati Safari Camp with all meals included and drinking water provided.

Day 6

Amboseli to Nairobi

After breakfast check out from your lodge and begin the drive back to Nairobi enjoying scenic views along the way and reflecting on wildlife experiences in Amboseli. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon where you will be dropped off at the airport your hotel or any preferred location concluding the memorable safari journey. No accommodation is included on this final day. Meals provided include breakfast and lunch and drinking water is provided.
